Day 40
Trip to 武昌解放路, last dinner with the China students

Today, we went to another place recommended by the taxi driver in China. 武昌解放路 (a.k.a. Wuchang Jie Fang Street) is the place where we went for our Yellow Crane Tower and the Hubei Museum trip. We took a 45 minutes or ride there, and we had our lunch at the food street called首义园小吃街 (Shou Yi Yuan Xiao Chi Jie). Like what the WUST did, we had to purchase an ez-link card thing to buy for our food. I loved their smoothie and their 汤包(tang bao) a lot!!! Burrr---rp!

After we had our meal, we explored around the place and walked down into the streets. Along the way, we saw many demolished buildings and looked at the way how the lower-income group of the China citizens had lived: dark and crampy quarters. Hence, I am glad that I am able to live in Singapore, with a family that is not well to do, but at least able to pay for our electricity bills and my school fees.

At last, after going out of the residential area, we saw shopping streets! Whole stretch of stores for you to shop til’ drop! Shopping spree!!!

Going to be late for the farewell dinner organized by the WUST student leaders for all Ngee Ann students and lecturers, we rushed ourselves back to the school. In the end, after much chaotic moments, we had ourselves in to the first dining area that we had during our first night in Wuhan. Wow, from the first night till the last second last night here…

Reflections
Time flies, time flies, time really flies. So fast, and we are going to go back to Singapore soon. Final thanks to the WUST student leaders in making us feel like home here, make friends between the two different countries, and share all the wonderful stuffs with us. Even though I do not bear to leave here too soon, I know that there has to be an ending when there’s a start. So when will we meet again after this trip? Let’s leave it to fate.
