Day 21
Lesson on religious thinking.

This morning we had our third IS lesson with our new teacher called Mr Philip An. Despite the fact that the lecturers are always changing for every lesson up till now, I really hope that we can have Ms Anna back. But anyway, we were supposed to learn about the religious thinking of Confucius, Taoism and Buddhism. Because there were a lot of things to talk about, Mr Philip only managed to finish the Confucius part. Even so, just one sub-topic about religious thinking makes me feel that lesson was ‘long’. I guess with so much information about China being ‘squeezed in a few hours’ lesson, I can only think of one phrase to describe: (Hokkien) “Buey-Tah-Han!”

Reflection

During our dinner time, Eshlyn and I went to buy 鸡蛋炒拉面 and the cook did 牛肉炒拉面 instead. Problems always happen at the ordering girl there. All thanks to their ordering system...

Remember I said about the way how Chinese people order their food? Just 5 days after the incident, I bought 鸡蛋炒拉面 at the same stall again. Now then I realised that if you want to order their food there, you will have to shout out to the cook, and the ordering girl. This is to make sure all of them received your orders correctly, as the ordering girl is quite forgetful and never writes down the orders. Or else, you will suffer the same thing as Eshlyn: repeating the orders for more than 3 times + people keep on cutting queue + waited for approximately half-and-hour. Annoying right?
