Day 29
KTV cum interaction session, Gloria’s birthday!

Oh yes, this time round, we had our power supply cut off, and for a longer period of time. One day before assignment 2 presentation, all of our works were jammed halfway. And even until the time that we were going to have our lesson, the power supply did not come back. We thought that the lessons will be cancelled, but Mr Loh had managed to overcome the situation and let us complete the final quiz. :)

At about 6.30pm, whole group of Ngee Ann students went to the school’s karaoke room in the administration block for a KTV cum interaction session. Before we went in, we had to draw a number from the box so that whenever the number and the colour of the cards are being called, we will have to come up and participate in their activities. Played the balloon bursting game. For our division, Roy performed street dancing, and Edy sang.

Back in our hostel, Jun Ru and the rest have prepared for the birthday celebration for our birthday girl, Gloria. Due to the complaints that we’ve got previously, Xanier had informed the people of other division and we sang the birthday song as quiet as we could in her room. Happy 19th birthday, Gloria!

Reflections

We were not so lucky like the previous power supply cut off; the previous one happened in at around 3am, few hours before we were going for the Wudang trip. I guess this situation occurs when the whole school is consuming too much electricity. The school is even bigger than SIM! However, if we were to be in Ngee Ann, such problems will be easily overcome by the use of backup supply, thus enabling a smooth flow of power supply. Imagine what will happen when our school’s electricity is to be cut off? I suppose it will be the lecturers and staffs that will be suffering the most.

Upon going for Gloria’s birthday celebration, we heard about this news that wrote about a death of a polytechnic student in a pub in China. Who knows that this poly student actually had a close connection with one of us here? Nevertheless, my main message of telling this is that being in a new environment with the strangers and a few of our friends, we should be more careful about what we speak and do. Some people could be good, but some could be appear-not-as-good. So people, take care of yourself and your belongings.

RIP…
