Day 1
Tired to the max

This will be my very first time to be able to take a plane and travel without my family around. Honestly, I couldn’t manage to sleep well on the night before and was still iffy about having the idea of leaving my cozy ‘bird nest’ for a “not-really-cozy” room.

Up, up and up we go!

Flight

Taken on plane

@Guangzhou Airport
After taking the freaking long 5 hour air ride, we went to queue for the checking of the health declaration. The customs there actually measure the temperatures manually by getting passengers to the queue up. Although it takes quite a short time for my turn, it seems quite inconvenient for the passengers as compared to the Singapore Customs, where they have big temperature scanner for the passengers passing by. Finally! 4 hours of waiting between the arrival at Guangzhou and departure from there to Wuhan + 2 hours of flight to from Guangzhou-Wuhan + 2 hours of bus ride from Wuhan Airport to the campus. => TIRED & THIRSTY!!

Here’s our room (with hidden insects)!

We had our first day of dinner at their campus restaurant, and I tried jelly-like pig blood for dinner.

Damn tired.

Reflections

Even if I know that I will be stepping out from my comfort zone, I will still choose to be here. Having my first time to sit on a plane, getting to know their different culture, 'upgrading' myself, and the point about being more independent makes me feel fascinated and keeps me excited.
But, I know this is just the beginning. There will be a whole lot more things for me to encounter and experience.
