Day 31
China’s National Day, & Children’s Day

Happy China’s National Day! Starting from now onwards, the China people will be having 8 days of holiday, also known as their golden week. Because almost everyone had went back to their hometown, the school looks like a forsaken ground. Luckily some of the stores were opened for business. But I guess for the next few days, more stores will be closed and the school will become more and more deserted? Sigh… Left with no choice but to get my meals earlier before the stores closes, and to go to the stores outside in order to buy stuffs.

Last but not least, this overage kid would like to shout: Happy Children’s Day!!!

Reflections

I realized that the way the China people celebrate their national day is quite different from how we celebrate ours. They celebrate early in the morning, whereas we celebrate at night. All of them will have a one week holiday after that, while we could only have one or two days off from our duties. As we celebrate our national day with performances, parade and fireworks, they celebrate theirs with a speech made by the chairperson of the Republic.
